One of the perks his powers held was the ability to create portals. The world was truly their oyster. Free to explore all the cultures, all the lands, with one swish of a hand, and with another, they could return home to New York. Magnus wanted to expose Alec to all the beauties the world had to offer, and his current expression was exactly why. The thrill and excitement on his face at witnessing such sights.
Where his work often consumed his time, Magnus felt proud that he could spend these moments with Alec; that he could be the one to show him around. The Warlock also did not fail to notice -- or feel -- the way Alec's hand gripped his so tightly, as Magnus curled his fingers around his quite casually. Magnus smiled in response, and as if to add to the freedom that this place offered, Magnus leaned up to capture Alec's lips in a light kiss, the warlock's smile unwavering. "Sounds wonderful," he agreed as he turned his body to stand alongside Alexander, removing his hand only for a moment so that he could loop his arm through Alexander's, curling it around, enjoying the casual gesture yet one they were often deprived of due to the judgement of their relationship or lack of freedom to do so.
"I know the perfect place just around the corner." As they walked, they past street vendors and Magnus glanced at them before looking at Alec again. "My magic may be able to heal sickness but lets not take that risk," he joked . . . though for one who's stomach was unfamiliar with the food, it could have quite . . . explosive results. "Is there anything you don't like?" He asked, wanting to get an idea of his partner's preferences so that he would know what to order for them once they got to their destination.

If there was one virtue that Magnus could claim, it was patience. Well, most of the time. In fact, only in regards to one thing in his life. One person. And that was Alec. Patience, to wait for when the Shadowhunter was ready. Patience, to cherish their relationship and take things slowly. What Magnus never would have thought he needed to exercise such patience in . . . was Jace. While he knew all about the parabatai bond, this had nothing to do with that. This was about having a roommate who seemed rather comfortable. And settled. And . . . it made Magnus wonder how long the man intended to remain.
He was doing this more for the fact that Jace was Alec's family. Yet, in moments like these, where Magnus felt his heart beat faster in anticipation, where he could take in the scent and feel of Alec body and warmth . . . only for it to be so abruptly torn from him due to the presence of another man . . . patience, suddenly seemed quite difficult. But Magnus remained composed, quickly regaining himself as he offered a small smile, his hand slid through Alec's hair eager to fulfill the suggestion. "Well that depends . . . how far are you willing to go?" He asked almost teasingly. "Maybe somewhere out of the tristate area?" Magnus suggested with a gleam in his eyes.

Magnus slightly cocked his head to the side as he looked over Izzy, taking in her style, his mind quickly playing over the different places he held memory of that would be good for their shopping adventures. Her mention of shoes helped narrow it down. "How do you feel about Milan?" He suggested.
"I can see it now . . . " Magnus continued, slightly turning his body with his hands extended as if to pain the picture of his following words. "The two of us, strolling down Via Monte Napoleone." A wonderful shopping street in Italy. He turned his head to look back at Izzy. "Or we can venture to Champs Elysees in one of the most romantic countries in the world." Though the romance would obviously not be applicable to them. He was merely giving suggestion to the different potential locations.

The Warlock continued to smile as Izzy accepted the offer. He knew Alec was not much of a martini drinker but his sister seemed to be of a different taste. "That it is my dear," he agreed, waving his hand over the drink to add a little extra flare to it before handing it to her and picking up his own.
"To the day ahead of us, and all wondrous the adventures it will bring," he toasted, gently clinking his glass to hers before taking a sip. Because . . . well, the trip was bound to be fun. Magnus was quite grateful that Izzy had reached out to him for it. He extended his free hand in a dramatic gesture to further emphasize his next words. "The world is our oyster, Isabelle. Where would you like to start?" Paris? Milan? The possibilities were endless.

Magnus felt an added relief in the embrace. A moment to stop and breathe, to recollect themselves and . . . be certain that Alec was still ready for this. He had said he wanted it before, but that pause, further assured Magnus of it. He wanted this to be special for his partner. And he certainly didn't want Alec that Magnus had to have this from him as soon as possible. There was something so special about the Shadowhunter; something so different from anyone else Magnus had ever been with. He breathed into the kiss, lips parting upon Alec's actions as he repositioned himself on top of him.
Their bodies pressed together, the sudden need to feel the full extent of Alec's heated skin becoming practically unbearable. Magnus' hands moved to the bottom of his shirt, continuing what he had interrupted Alexander from doing as he began to lift it, prating their lips only to toss his shirt carelessly to the side -- avoiding the candles of course. Magnus smiled down at the beautiful male before him, taking a moment to memorize everything about his expression. Until the urge to kiss him became too overwhelming. He leaned back down, passion unleashing itself in the kiss as the warlock's hands began to trail over Alec's chest, soaking in every line of his muscle, the softness and firmness of it, wanting to memorize Alec's body as well as his expression.

Alec's words were exactly what he needed to hear; the assurance that he did not have to prove himself to the other; words of love they had for each other. Even though he had indeed given that piece of DNA. But Magnus also knew that there was no one else he wished to be with. No matter how . . . different their words were. No matter how their duties would pull them to make decisions.
It could be so . . . simple, to be with another. To have embraced Dorothea and been with a Downworlder who faced the same oppression from the Clave. But, that wasn't where Magnus' heart was. Nor was it anywhere remotely near what he wanted. Easing out of the kiss, Magnus' hand reached for Alec's hand, casually taking it in his own as his gaze fell down at their joined hands for a moment before looking back up into Alec's eyes. "Are you able to stay for a bit?" He asked, trying not to be too hopeful for he knew the other had his duties. And with the recent tension between them . . . Magnus knew it would help if they could spend some time together now. Move on from what had happened.

Magnus could not stop the words from replaying over in his mind. A concern, vanished by the grace of Alexander's words. He had not quite realized just how . . . intensely passionate he would feel. It was something to be imagined of course, but not fully comprehended until they were actually together in this way. His fingers curled around Alec's forearm, a soft smile still lingering on Magnus's lip as he just gazed at him, no longer feeling . . . uncertain about the coloring of his eyes.
Eyes, that once branded him a demon. And still did. But so long as it was not repulsive to Alec, then Magnus could most certainly deal with anyone's reaction. He eventually broke the silence, though the soft, quiet moment did not feel the least bit awkward. It just added to the beauty of this entire moment. Of this night. And was had yet to come. "I hope I didn't spoil the mood," he said with a smile, a tease in his voice though there was an ounce of sincerity in the concern.
Though, if he did, the warlock was certainly determined to regain the romantic aura of tonight. With a wave of his hands, he dimmed the lights a little, and created candles on either of the side tables. With the time to think for a moment, he wanted to create the perfect atmosphere for Alexander. This was not something Magnus took for granted. For the Shadowhunter was to be cherished. "Better?" He asked with that same tease, leaning forward to lightly press his lips against Alec's.

The day had been long. Everyone was scrambling to clean up the mess that had occurred. To tend to the wounded, mourn the fallen. Magnus remained, doing what he could to help. Things had eventually slowed, though it took some time well into the next day. Magnus had been keeping a close eye on Alexander, noticing that he did not take a break for a moment. It was so very typical of him, but Magnus felt compelled to make sure he rested. The fear of losing each other had prompted an emotional confession to one another. A admittance of love.
It had warmed Magnus to his very core, and had him all the more adamant to take care of the man he . . . loved. Yes. Loved. Felt for some time yet saying it, made it all the more real. So after much convincing, he did manage to bring Alec to his place. For he knew that if Alexander remained in the Institute, he would not actually rest. His attention would be needed and he would not remain still. As they entered Magnus' home, he waved, the door shut after the both of them stepped in, swiftly turning to face his partner, one hand moved to rest on Alexander's shoulder. "Let me guess. You haven't eaten since yesterday?" He both asked and well, practically stated.

Magnus was quite looking forward to today. He and Isabelle were going to engage in a leisurely activity. One that did not emphasize any differences in Shadowhunters and Downworlders. An activity that those from all walks of life partook in. Shopping. It was clear that he and Izzy both had . . . a very distinct style in the way they dressed. He also knew that the male who connected them did not. It was why Magnus was hoping to buy a few things for Alec without dragging him along for even he knew that his partner would not be fond of such a thing.
Though, today wasn't exactly about the shopping. It was more about Magnus wishing to get to know Isabelle. He had seldom spent time alone with the woman and as she was one of the closest people to Alec, Magnus wished to rectify that. A knock at the door alerted him as he nonchalantly waved his hand for it to open. A smile formed on his lips as he saw Izzy enter. "Isabelle," he greeted. "Care for a drink before we depart?" He asked, motioning to where the martini glasses were.

Magnus' Wanted Characters Hey everyone! Below is my list of Wanted Characters! Hover over the image for more information about the character! I do adore these two together and it could make for some serious fun plottage and threading! Precious, precious Dot! I absolutely love these two! She seems like such a good friend of Magnus' and it appears they had QUITE a lot of fun together,
both as friends and when they were romantically involved. I would love to delve into their past and explore all those different points in time! Magnus truly cares for her a great deal so it would be great to have a Dot here! So this father son dynamic that exists between Raphael and Magnus is absolutely precious! I have a serious weakness for it! Threads going back into their past where Magnus takes care of Raphael would be SO much fun to get into! And of course plots about all that is currently going on in their lives!
I love Magnus' fatherly affection for Raphael, and would love to play that Papa!Magnus role with him! So much potential!! There is definitely a lot of freedom with this character as we only saw him shortly! But within that scene, it appears that Magnus cares for him, and that Elias is a second of sorts among their group! I could see them as being quite close and am honestly open to any suggestions of how you would like to define their relationship! I thought it was sweet how adamant he was to Magnus about not going to the meeting, so there is certainly a lot of different paths to take, including AUs where Elias doesn't die! So despite the fact that they had that one scene together, I think there is a LOT of potential between Madzie and Magnus! They of course have that Warlock connection, and she seemed to warm up to him enough to trust him! I could foresee threads where he's helping her with her powers/training her,
AUs where he even adopts her as a daughter, and AUs where she's all grown up even! Lots of freedom with them and I am absolutely up for exploring it all! Ragnor was too soon gone from the show! I would have LOVED to see more of Magnus and Ragnor as they had such a wonderful relationship! Magnus Bane is a Warlock and one of the most powerful ones. He has been alive for centuries, having an extensive past with others; one filled with both joys and heartbreak.
