"I want to turn back the clock to before..."
Magnus knew that he couldn't avoid Alec forever. Even with the deal he had made with the Seelie queen. Tensions were rising and there could very well be a war brewing. The fact that he and Alexander were on opposite sides was killing Magnus. He could feel the literal ache in his heart. So right now, he could barley look at him. He had portaled them both to one of his former residences so that they could speak alone. No Warlocks, no Seelie Queen, no Clave or Shadowhunters. Magnus wasn't entirely sure what there was to say, but closure perhaps was needed.
He'd barley been able to look at Alexander during the meeting where he had stood next to the queen. So all Magnus could say right now . . . was how desperately he wsihed he could turn back the clock. To before. To when they were together, and happy, and things were not as complicated as they were now. The words came out amidst his preparation of a drink, needing something -- anything -- to ease this heartache. Though, no amount of alcohol in the world had the power to do that.
