(8) Lying naked in front of a fan.
Vaughn lay on the floor, arms and legs out, completely naked. He had not dressed himself ever since turning back from a wolf, and it was too damn hot to care about wearing any clothes -- which was where the fan had come in. The cool air a welcome relief to his burning skin. He recalled the early days when he would turn and feel his heightened emotional state contribute to the over heating of his skin. It had become more controlled until . . . events caused him to regress. Now, those same heated emotions left his skin on fire and further exhausted him whenever he lost control. Fortunately, he didn't have to work today.
Hell, he felt like he could spend the entirety of the day just like this. Lying here, naked, on the floor. That is, until he heard the door push open. He hadn't bothered locking it, not having expected anyone. Nor did he even heard any footsteps approach, having been completely lost in his thoughts. "Fuck!" He exclaimed, reaching over for something to cover himself . . . but there was nothing he could reach in time, so his hands fell to his lower reach in attempt to cover himself up.

Vaughn had lost control. Which, wasn't uncommon for the wolf. But tonight, it had landed him in a vicious altercation with another in the pack. His opponent wound up running away, and it left Vaughn growling after him, prepared to follow. In the depths of the night at Central Park, there was enough privacy. But a throbbing pain hindered the wolf from following his instinct to run after him. Instead, he found himself turning, not yet ready to but the physical exertion of his body was making his emotions a bit weaker. The anger forcefully ebbing away. And when he was back in human form, he understood why. There was a gash on his lower chest, under and diagonal from the one that his brother had caused when he attacked him.
Vaughn looked at the blood coming out of it, groaning, and trying to gain the strength to move. A shadow figure in the distance was approaching which only further prompted him, scrambling to something -- anything -- he could find to conceal himself. The best he could do was move behind a tree, resting his back against it and out of sight from the other. But he knew he had already been seen. His ragged breathing was enough o fa give away. "Get the hell away from me!" He demanded. It was either someone from the pack, or someone who wanted to help. Vaughn did not want to deal with either.

Character Basics
NAME: Vaughn Meyer
NICKNAME: None as of yet
GENDER: Male
AGE: 30 ish?!
GROUP: Werewolf
Appearance
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: Vaughn stands rather tall with a strong, muscular build. He has brown hair, that he keeps short. His eyes are green and he has light colored skin. He dresses in fairly casual attire and is found either clean shaven or with a bit of stubble. [/color
HEIGHT: 6"2'
PORTRAYED BY: Daniel Feuerriegel
Personality
BASIC PERSONALITY: Vaughn has a sarcastic sense of humor. He is never short of a remark that can be categorized as such, nor is he ever in short supply of insults or profanities. Vaughn is extremely protective over those he cares about, which can be both a weakness and a strength. For those he is close to and cares for, he would do anything and everything to protect them, placing his own life in danger if that is what it takes.
He is also incredibly loyal to those he cares for, and there is often nothing that can sever the ties and close bonds that he forms with certain individuals. He gets along with most that he is comfortable with, and has a fairly good sense of humor . . . when not made at his expense or at the expense of those he cares for. Unfortunately, it takes time for him to build those connections with people as he is incredibly distrusting of them. He has a quick temper and short fuse, often landing him to make impulsive decisions and react quickly -- usually violently -- in many situations. He can be aggressive, placing him in many confrontations. He also has a strong dislike for Shadowhunters.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Vaughn has some skill with hand to hand combat, but it is limited as he is not overly professionally trained in this field. His other special skills are those of any werewolf; strength, heightened senses, speed, all especially when in wolf form.
WEAKNESSES: Because of the fact that Vaughn is a very emotional individual, he tends to lose control very often, which in turn, results in the transformation of a wolf. It took longer than usual for him to gain control over turning, mainly after he lost his brother. This sets him at a disadvantage, particularly at his job and when conversing with mundanes.
History
BIRTHPLACE: New York
FAMILY: Brother; deceased. Luke's pack.
OCCUPATION: Firefighter
HISTORY: Vaughn was born in New York along with his younger brother born few days after. Their parents were of German descent, having spent most of their married life in the United States. They both passed away in a car accident, and Vaughn took on legal guardianship of his brother. He had always been protective towards him, but this made Vaughn even more so. They had a fairly decent upbringing, initially living off their parent's inheritance until Vaughn worked in his career choice of being a firefighter. The two brothers were extremely close and lived a comfortable life . . . until one night, everything changed.
His brother had not come home one night and it left Vaughn in a panic. He often communicated with him when he would stay out and the fact that he wasn't picking up his phone, terrified Vaughn, fearing the worst. Vaughn spoke to a police officer who was a friend, and assured him that if he didn't return in a couple of days, they would look into it. Vaughn's brother returned the next night, looking completely disheveled and scratched. Vaughn demanded to take him to the hospital, but he refused.
It led to a massive fight at which point, his brother stormed out . . . causing Vaughn to follow. And follow. And continue to until his brother made way into an abandoned alley, and that was when everything became known. Vaughn watched his brother transform, eyes wide in horror and shock. The refusal to leave him when he was so uncontrolled, caused the wolf to leap at him and bite him. This, turned Vaughn into a wolf as well.
The two brothers were not alone in coping with this. They were found by an alpha, explaining that a rogue wolf had attacked his brother and had answered for the crime. They were exposed to the world of Shadowhunters and Downworlders, and soon enough, adapted well into it. Vaughn was grateful for one thing, and that was his brother was not facing any of this alone. Unfortunately, this would not be the only event that would upturn their life. The next one, would shatter it.
Vaughn's brother was attacked by a downworlder and died. Another criminal, another shock. Only this time, Vaughn did not adapt to it well at all. He was enraged. He primarily blamed the Shadowhunters for not doing their job and the loss left Vaughn unable to control himself. He was forced to take a leave of absence from work, the risk of exposing himself among the mundanes too great a risk. Eventually, he gained a little more control, but not as much as he once had. He has became far more volatile, and easy snaps at the seemingly smallest thing. One thing is for certain, and that is he has become far more distrusting of others, and forever holds the blame at the Clave's feet.
